The Autodownload feature, allows you to automatically download your favourite issues so you can read them offline.
This way, you have access to your preferred content at any time, for example when travelling, on the move, or if your internet connection is limited.
How do I activate Autodownload for an issue?
You can activate Autodownload in two ways:
- Tap the three dots on an issue.
Or activate the feature directly on the issue page using the toggle switch at the top of the screen.
Once Autodownload is activated, the app will automatically download the relevant issues for offline use.
How can I tell if Autodownload is activated?
If Autodownload is activated for an issue, a green “auto” status will be displayed.
Once the issue has been downloaded, a green icon will appear in the app, indicating that the content is available offline.
Do automatic downloads use mobile data?
By default, automatic downloads only occur over Wi-Fi to conserve your mobile data allowance.
If you wish to allow downloads over mobile data as well, you can change this option in the app settings.
Which content can be downloaded automatically?
Autodownload is designed to manage automatic downloads for your favourites.
This means that issues you have added to your favourites can be automatically downloaded depending on your settings.
Where can I manage my automatic downloads?
You can manage your automatic downloads and storage options in the Settings menu of the Readly app.
There, you can manage your download settings, the use of Wi-Fi or mobile data, as well as storage space.
